70s Rock / Progressive

Progressive rock is a genre which has its origins in rock and pop styles. It originated in the United Kingdom and the United States in the late 1960s. Key characteristics include the use of keyboard instruments, lengthy compositions and poetic lyrics.

The genre became popular throughout the decade and produced bands like Pink Floyd, who are still revered in the music industry today. Some of the biggest bands from the decade owe their success to their incorporation or adoption of progressive rock in their style.

In the 70s Rock and progressive section at Vinylnet, you can find a huge range of rock music that doesn't fit in the metal category.

We have a range of LPs and records from bands like the Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin as well as a number of solo artists.
